Waste Reduction

To minimize waste, the trade show uses 99% recyclable carpeting. Waste is sorted at the source, with a 78% recycling rate, and processed by a specialized provider for recovery. Printed promotional materials are gradually being replaced by digital solutions.

Energy

Palexpo sources its electricity exclusively from renewable sources, primarily hydroelectric and solar. A smart lighting system reduces energy consumption in the exhibition halls by adjusting intensity according to real-time needs.

Catering

Selected catering outlets use reusable porcelain and glassware. Food waste collected from the kitchens is converted into biogas. Sourcing prioritizes sustainable products and local suppliers.
